The Atlantic crossing Place: Bridgetown, Barbados Date: December 23. 2006 Here is the travelogue from our first big ocean crossing. Even though we were very lonely out at the huge ocean, there were constantly things happening that made the days joyfully. The boat kept a solid speed as we were surrounded by animals all the time. The first long distance journey Place: Graciosa, Kanariøyene Date: October 8. 2006 Our first long distance journey was very quiet so we had to be very patient. We still had some exciting nights with tuna nets and encounters with fishermen. Essaouira in Morocco was very interesting, and we experienced it during the Ramadan. The stay in Gibraltar Place: Gibraltar Date: September 25. 2006 It has become a long stay in Gibraltar and La Linea in Spain. A lot of upgrades and maintenance have been done. On September the 19th Vidar arrived, so now we are two persons onboard. When we set sail again, we will set the course for Morocco and then towards the Canary Islands. Read more

The arrival at the Mediterranean Sea Place: Roses, Spain Date: August 2. 2006 Now the speed has increased as the flow now is parallel. I reach the second biggest town in France with temperatures at 38 degrees. There I get a big surprise when I get crewmembers signing on! I arrive at the Mediterranean Sea and yet another country is conquered. Read more

Tour de France Place: Gergy, France Date: July 15. 2006 Now I am far away from oceans, but the journey and the adventures are still great. I have been visiting Belgium and am now at the canal system in France. Along the canals are many great old cities and beautiful landscape. I have been sweating at times, because of the heat and the works in the locks. Read more

Preparations before the departure Place: Kopervik, Norway Date: April 7. 2006 Just under a month left until I set sail. All the equipment is bought in, but I am missing some installation work and the big job of finding space for everything. The boat is put a shore and will be there for some weeks, and I hope the work outside will be finished some days before the departure. Read more
